Dunedin, December 28. The weekly stock sale was hold at Burnside to-da.y, having been postponed from Wednesday owing to tho holidays. A total, of 117 fat cattle woe yarded, tho entry consisting principally of medium-weight :steers and hoifors. There wore no extra heavy weights. Butchers had supplies on 'hand, but prices ruled firm at last week's rates. Prime bullocks, £13 10s. to £14--17s. £11; medium; £8 to £8 55.; light, £6 to' £7 £10 55,; primo hoifors and cows, £9 10s. to £11; modium, £8 to £Bs 55.; light, £6 to £7 10s.
The yarding of fat sheep : totalled 2258, which proved quite sufficient for requirements. Prices all round were a shade oa'fdcr than those rullne last week. The yarding consisted chiofly of prlmo wethers and ewes. I'rimo wethers "made from 21'« 6d, to 225. 6(1.; medium, 19s, (id-, to 205.'0i1.; light, 18s. to W.; extra prime owes, to 245.; primo, 20s. to 235,; medium, 17s. 6d. to 19s. Cdi'j light, 15s. to 17s. Thoro was,a-largo yarillng of fat lambs, 1610 being penned, including somo pens of splendiil animals. As tho Christmas trade proved disappointing, «cvoral butchers bod supplies on hand. Consequently, prices dronpod about 2s. 611. per head. Onizlers hid freely for suitable pens, and helped to keen the market steady.
