Rancitikei, Manawatu. Hawke's Bay, ana Auoluand distriots will close at 6.30 a.m. There will not be any clearances of the city receivers or deliveries by letter-carriers on the above-named day. On Tuesday, Deoember- 31, there will be a delivery by the letter-carriers in the letter-carriers' room, on the first-floor entrance, Featherston Street, from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m., and the Parcels Department will be open from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m.; also a delivery over the public counter at the Chief Poßt Office from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. of correspondence addressed to tho Post Office only. On Tuesday, December 31, extra clearances will bo made as follow: All city receivers will be oleaxed at 6 p.m.; Wellington South, Kilbirnie, and Uataitai receivers at 5 p.m., and suburban ones at 4.30 p.m. All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter-mail closes.
