SECOND DAY'S EESULTS. ■ (By Talesraph.—l'ress Association.) Rcofton, December 27. For the second day of the Reefton Trotting Club's meeting there was splendid weather and a great attendance. 'The fields were spoiled by the stable Are, in which five horses were burnt. Results,:—

COUNTY HANDICAP, of 35 sovs. Six furlongs—Lady Mildred,- Bst. 51b., 1; Furo, 7st. 61b., 2; Hillspring, Bst. 81b., 3. ' Also started:. Golden Fire and The Nut. Won easily. Time, lmin. 18 2-ssec. FLYING HANDICAP, of 50 sovs. Five furlongs.—lrish Gift, Sst. 301b., 1; Moreykoff, Bst. 81b., 2; Stepmaid, Bst. 71b„ 3. Also started: Millionaire, 7st. 71b.. Won easily. . Time, lmin. 3sec. EEEFTON HANDICAP, of 100 sovs. Ono mile.—Miss Sylvia, Tst. 91b., 1; Waikehua, Sst. 71b., 2; Ellerton, Bst. 81b., 3. Also started: Royal Marine, Gasoline, and Awha. Tho last-named and the placed horses finished almost together in one of the finest finishes seen, on the course. Time, lmin. 44sec. JUNCTION HANDICAP, of 45 sovs. Six furlongs.—North Pole, 9st. 71b., 1; Lady Mildred, 7st. 71b., 2 Only a neck separated first and second horses. Time, lmin. 17sec.

, CRONADUN HANDICAP, of 50 sovs, Six furlongs.—Seraphic, 9st. 121b., 1; Tympan, Bst. 71b., 2; Messina, 7st., 8. Seraphic got the best of the 6tart, and was never, headed, and won by two lengths. Time, lmin. ;18sec. i HIGH-WEIGHT HANDICAP, of 60 eovs. Soven furlongs.—North Pole, lOst. (lib., 1; Vanada, Bst. 21b.> 2; Amalgamj Bst., 8. A splendid race, the winner forging ahead only in the straight. Time, lmin. 3sec.

FAREWELL HANDICAP, of 40 sovs. Six furlongs.—Golden Fire, 7st; 21b., 1; Moreykoff, Bst. lllb., 2; The Nut, 3. Only a couple of lengths separated the first and second horses. Time, lmin. 17 4-ssec.
