Eight rinks of the Victoria. Bowling Club spent the day yesterday in a sevengame progressive tournament. The rink skipped by Fossetto won with 51 games., Other rinks won games as follow (skip and- rinks only being mentioned) :— Scott's rink,' i games; Vosscler's, i games; Anderson's, 3\ games; Witts/s,' 3i games; Hucston's, 21 games;. England's, 2i games; Norwood's, 21 games./
WELLINGTON CLUB,
An enjoyable progressive pairs tournament was played on the 'Wellington Club's green last evening on a new system devised by 3lr. Bamett of Christchurch. In this game the "skins" are distinguished by, a letter, and the "leads" by a number, and by an ingenious arrangements a combination n,e'vcr by any chance met twice. Gaines of ten heads were played. The tournament will be completed this evening. ■
