All Turkish officers on leave have* been recalled to Clmtalja, to report within 24 hours. Constantinople, December 26. Enver Bey has insisted that the officers 6hould be at Chntalja, and has made a stirring appeal to them to abandon party factions. ADRIANOPLE'S FATE. : TURKEY INSTRUCTS HER DELEGATE. Constantinople, December 25. The press is unanimous that it is impossible 'for the Government to accept terms which do not preserve Adrianople. (Rec. December 20, 11.50 p.m.) Constantinople, December 26. The Government has discussed the waT situation. It is understood that its delegate at London has been instructed to submit counter-proposals on Saturday, including the retention of Adrianople, Seres, and Salonika. AN ILLUSTRIOUS SUSPECT. DIPLOMATS WIFE ARRESTED. (Rec December 26, 11.50 p.m.) Belgrade, December 2G. While shopping in Seinlin, in Hungary, the Baroness von Griesinger, wife of the German Minister at Belgrade, was arrested on suspicion of being a Servian spy. After protracted examination she was released. ■ HYGIENE OF WAR. REMARKABLE SANITARY SYSTEM. . (Rec. December 26, 11.50 p.ml) ,'• Salonika, December 20. • The Greeks have established a remarkable sanitary system at Salonika, including a micro-biological laboratory. All refugees are vaccinated and placed under the strictest surveillance, as also are ■butchers, dairies, and restaurants. Smallpox has already been suppressed. The Greek funds are not sufficient to feed thirty thousand refugees.
