'The seventh" annual show of the Horowhenua Agricultural Association will be held on Wednesday; January 20 at Levin, and the entries close on January 15.- The association has made steady progress, and each year adds many classes to the .schedule. This year, besides tho many classes for sheep, cattle, .pigs, and .horses,, competitions are well provided for, there being no fewer than l.'i, including four lumping .events, two boys' pony race:,, trotting race, ladies' and men's driving competition. Three ladies' gold bracelets are amongst the \ prizes. These are allotted for the first prize for the best lady driver, best Jady's hack, and the ladies' jumping event. The competition for men's events are expected to be very large. -Tte committee expect this year's show to excell all previous records. FEILDING. . Owners of hor?es and other stock -will no doubt avail themselves of the concession offered by the Feilding Show Committee of entering at members' rates if (hev reside outside a radius of 40 miles from Feilding, and are financial members of any other A. and P. association. A total of .£1055 is offered in-prize money for the show to be held on February 4 and 5. . Entries close on: January 17, and the secretary will be pleased to forward a schedule on application.
