A BOYCOTT OF "INSUREDS.'! / PRESS CRITICISM. By TeleEranh-Preßa Aeaoclatton-OoDyrieLl , London, December 22., A representative meeting of th© British Medical Association by 182 to 21 rejected the L Government's terms, and resolved, that until a uniform scheme is adopted to recommend the treatment of "insureds" conditionally on tho latter having free choice of doctor, either on the capitation basis or the minimum of Bs. 6d. per annum, inclusive of drugs or attendance} a basis of a minimum of 2s. 6d. per visit, such minimum not to include tuberculosis patients. A "SYNDICALIST" ASSOCIATION. ' ' (Bee. December 23, 11.10 p.m.) .■• ":.•■-. London, December' 23. Tho "Daily .Chronicle" denounces tho decision of Saturday's meeting : of the Medical Association to organise a boycott against insured patients at all the hospitals, excepting in eases.of urgent illness, or for the really necessitous poor. ■" .The "Daily News" violently assails tho doctors, and accuses tho Medical Association of syndicalism. It declares that the association has been outlawed in public opinion by its own act. The association, not tho Insurance Act, was destined to be wreoked.. ■'.' "The Times" says that the root of. the trouble is' in the doctors' refusal to be placed under., the heel of lay oommittees.
