ROUGH WEATHER AT GISBORNE.
FEREY SERVICE INTEERUPTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Gisborne, December 23. A heavv sea was running in the bay all day to-day, and the steamer Regulus, "which arrived from Westport, was unable to make the harbour, being compelled to take shelter under Youne Nick 9 Head till the weather moderated. The Rosamond, from Auckland, via Tolaga Bay put back to Tolaga Bay; and is expeoted to come on when the weather : calms a little. . , The ferry steamer Takapuna, which was timed to leave for Napier at 7 p.m., 'was bailed up for'the first timo.since tho service was inaugurated and is now timed to sail at 3 a.m., but it is doubtful if she will get away even then.
