Holman, in announcing his early ■ departure for London, states that he is merely goifig Home to recuperate after his strenuous political labours. He had no intention of supplanting the Agent-General, though he did apply to succeed Mr. Coghlan when his term was up, but withdrew the application when Mr. Beeby resigned. Mr. Coghlan'e term will probably be extended for two years. He denied the rumours that he intended to leave the Labour party.- '
