A CLEAR COMPLEXION. Dryness or harshness of the skin is frequently due to tho use of soaps containing excess of alkali. Sometimes _it is caused by hard water'with its skinroughening ingredients of lime and noxious salts, or. by preparations containing an excess of alcohol, such as Eau-de-Cologne. Now, instead of using soap and water when the skin is not in a condition to tolerate them, or when it is excessively dry, it should be cleansed with Novena Cerate. This is done by rubbing tho Novena Cerate well into the skin, leaving it on for some minutes, and then wiping it oft with a soft towel.
