THE LOOK-YOUNG FASHION.
MODERN MEN'S RESORT TO "BEAUTY DOCTORS." The latest fashions among modem men are still largely influenced by the modes and manners of 1830 (states the "Daily Mail"). Side-whiskers continue to be favoured by men in the van of fashion, and the stock-collar and wide bow tie complete' a picture which until quite recently could only bo seen in a Victorian picture. But men are also cultivating; a young look, and the "beauty doctor" is enjoying an unusual prosperity. "Men come to be manicured and generally beautified," said a beauty doctor yesterday, "and they all want advice aa to how they may best proservo a youthful appearance. Jinny of my men clients will sit for over an hour having their liails polished and their hands massaged. They will buy Any kind of powder I care to recommend for the face, (ifiy lotion for tho skin, and nny remedy for tho hair. I beliovo the American is responsible for this new desire to appear young. The American man spends hours at his hair-dresser's, and buys al! manner of powders, skin lotions, and hair oils." A hairdresser in Bond Street also told of tho modern man's passion for scent, perfumed hair dressing.?, skin lotions, and face massage. '{I should say that many men nowadays talto as much care of their faces as women do. Thcv soem to do everything but rouge their lips and pencil their eyebrows."
