LONDON PERSONALS,

London, November 14. Mr. Arthur Grabhara, of Wellington, is i& England on a business trip. Dr. W. Gratton Guinness, of Auckland, has returned to London after a few weeto in Ireland.

The High Commissioner is paying an offioial visit to Cardiff and Bristol this week to inquire into the proper handling of New Zealand produce. Mrs. Robert Hannah, of Wellington, and her tiro sons and two daughters are returning to New Zealand, on November 22.

The first whist drive of the season was held by the New Zealand Association at the Westminster Palace Hotel last night. Mr. C. B. Hoadley, who has resided in Napier for nearly 10 years, is, with his daughter, now paying a visit to England. ' They leave for New Zealand on the 22nd of November. Miss Winnie Christison, of Auckland, accompanied by her friend, Miss Dolly Carruthers, of Dunedin, arrived in London a few weeks ago on a short visit to friends in Liverpool. Mr. Austin Heritage, of Wellington, leaves for America during the month, but, will return to London in January, before leaving for Now Zealand. The Messrs. 0. F. and L. W. Baker, of Christchurch, who have been over here since June, and have lately been travelling on the Continent,, left last' week for New Zealand.

Miss Maria Bauchop, of Port Chalmers and Wellington, sets out for Toronto, where she intends to make her home in future, in December. ■ Mr. W. C. Hartgill, a Wanganui College Old Boy, captains tho London Hospital Rugby team this year, and plays forward, Mr. S. E. V. Brawn, of South Canterbury, plays back. Miss Daisy Cummins, of Wellington, arrived in London a fortnight ago, ■ and leaves for a month with relatives in Holland, when her brother, Mr. Arthur Cummins, joins her. The latter is spending a few weeks longer in the United States. Mr. Edgar 0. Randle, of Invercargill, ■who arrived in London some time ago, will probably stay twelve months. Mr. Randle is interested in the'soft goods business.

Mr.- Ghaa. W. Purnell, of Ashburton, leaves for New Zealand by tho Athenio. He has travelled England and in Scotland,, and also spent some time with his son, Dr. C. -A.
