SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Preeont indications aro for westerly winds, Btrong to golo, and vcerine to southerly eoon, the barometer rlsinj and tlio winds probably decreasing in force to-morrow with diminishing barometric gradient. The weather is likely to bo boisterous, with heavy rain showors, in mo6t parts, and rivers rising in the South Island. Enow Jβ probable on tho higher levels in the south, and cooler conditions following. An intense area of low pressure in the south has caused an increase in the wind force. sales are reported at many stations this afternoon. The weather has been very changeable, with scattered showers, but some, 'heavy rain hae fallen to-day, especially in the south' and on the West Cfoaef. B. V. EEMBESTON.
