SCHOOL SPORTS.

Pupils of tho Nowtown. School held a sports meeting at Ncwtown Park on Monday afternoon. The meeting is held as a "wind-up" of the year's work at school. Competition .was keen for the Old Boye' challenge cups. Alfred Owens has practically iron the cup for boys, as only one more event hog to bo decided. The girls' cup will probably result in a tie between Dorothy Conner and Mabel M'lnstry, ivho are at present botn on equal points, with two events, swimming and tennis, yet to be dscided. So far the results Stand thus: 100 yards: Mabel M'lnstry, 1; D. Conner, 2; P. Bryant and R. Bromley. 3. 220 yards: Dorothy Conner, 1; M. M'lnstry, 2; P. Bryant, 3.
