SATURDAY'S. CARNIVAL. The second carnival given in connection with the visit of tlie Australian swimmers, under the auspices of the Wellington Swimming Centre, is to take plnco at the To Aro' Baths to-morrow. Tho visitors returned from ,i trip to Blenheim Inst night, and will lx> "in for a dip" at tho baths to-dny. Solomons unci his party are all in gwxl form, and Saturday's carnival promises to be nn improvement on (lie previous one. It is understood that one or two really humorous events will also bo ou the programme, Hay and Solomons arc twins to have q
good "go" in. on endeavour to break the mimito over tho hundred yards, so that this ovent ought to prove . interesting, iho programme includes a 200 yards mlay rnco for two men, and very satisfactory entries havo been received all round.
At tho annual meeting of tho council or tho Now Zealand Amateur Swimming Association held at Cliristohurch, last week. Mr. Q. S. Hill was re-elected delegate represent the association on the Olympic Council for New Zealand.
