The young, man David Dufaur, whose disappearance from Pahi after the fatal accident' which befel his companion, Mr. Samuel Henry Sayers, is still at Matakohe, confined to his bed. He is making, an excellent .recovery aftei" his hardships in tlie bush, and it is expected that he will bo well enough to attend the adjourned inquiry into the circumstances snrround■JUß Mr, Say'ers's death.on- Monday. From letters found amongst Hie effects of the victim of tho accident, it appears, probable that Mrs. Sayers and her children nave not yet left the Old Country. The .settlers of Pahi, who endeavoured to coirimmiicato with Mrs. Sayers, have not so far received a reply to their cable con-, veyinjj to her the news of her.husband's death.
