"THE MESSIAH."
The final rehearsal by the Roynl Choral Society of "The Messiah" in the Town Hall last evening was an entire success. Fortunately the society was able to secure the services of. all tlie soloists—Madame JCirkby Lunn, Madame Wieleart, Mr. Andrew Black, and Mr. Walter "Whyte— and tho "run through" with them should serve to add* finish'to this evening's performance. As previously stated, every Mat in tho great hull has been bespoken, and'that, in conjunction with, the exceptionally fine principals, α-highly capable chorus and orchestra should establish a new standard in New Zealand in the performance of Handel's inspired work.
