MURDEK OP CAPTAIN ECKFORD. By TeleeraDh—Frees Association—Conrriffht London, December 18. Captain Eckford's party was" emerging from the jungle when' they were fired on from the hills. Tho part}- pursued the assailants, who numbered 150, and shots wore exchanged, when Eckford was shot throngh the heart. Captain Eckford, of the Central India HoT.se, was murdered by native tribesmen at Shiraz, whilst on a shooting: expedition. The British Government demnnded, and the Persian Government promised, full reparation. .
