I -CLUB CABNIVAi DATES.- . 4. meeting of the executive of the We*. .Swimming Centre was tela on Tuesday evening when dates were amaiued for this season's club carnivals, asi arrangements were made regarding next Saturday's carnival. The carnival owes wero allotted as follow, subject to confirmation by the City don Club, January IS, at Thorndon, swifts -ciub,- f^ o^ 1 *.;^ 111^ ,1 Club, February, 22; . Old Boys Club, March 8. The Thorndon Club has drawn, the "star" championship eventr-tlie; •lay race for the Walker and Hall Cup, ■he Swifts will manage thelOOyds; provincial championship, and. th«, Wellington Club the 220 yds. championship. • ■ The events to be decided al the carnival are as follow :-50yds boys' race: 53 yds! handicap race; ■ 100 yd- handicap race; 200 yds. teams' relay race, in which Solomon and Hay will represent Sydney; diving displays and novelty items. In the teams' relay event of. 200 yds.. the following clubs will be represented, their handicap being Riven in.parentheses;:Slanlv Club, Hay and Solomons (scr.h Thorndon Club.
