BARTON BROS.' CIRCUS.
Arrangements have been completed for. the Christmas season of Bartons' Circus. The major portion of the necessary effects' has already arrived, and will he augmented by all extra essential gear, which will arrive by rail and road, on Monday morning, and will be in*, readiness for the initial appearance of the firm's third tour which eventuates on.Monday liigrlit week, on reclaimed land near the Te Aro railway .station. An Auckland exchange, in commenting on the performance, says:. "Bartons' programme this year is much in advance of their previous excellent standard. A numerous variety of new and sensational acts havo been added to the personnel of the company, and in continuing their usml method of presenting new' , features on the occasion of eacli visit, the. managerial heads should have no cause to complain about results of their enterprise." Conspicuous among the new starring engagements are the Baker Family of all-round cireug' performers, who aro said to b? a show in themselves; also Hanley, Margnerit?, and Hanley, a Continental team, whose feats nre stated to be of a remarkably sensational character. Another attraction \s prominent in the person of Happy Jockks, a clown with a 'European reputation, who comes direct from Bostoek and Womhwell's big English Circus. Numerous other capable artists add. to a lengthy bill. The menagerie of wild beasts . will be- on view free to all at 7 p.m. each evening. Popular prices will prevail for admission to the circus.
