HON. JAMES ALLEN INTERVIEWED. Sydney, December 18. ■ The Hon. James Allen (New Zealand Minister for Defence), in an interview expressed the opinion that New Zealand, Canada, and Australia would join hands some day in the defence of the Pacific. "It is too much to' ask tho Mother Country to do it," he said; "that is our duty." During his visit to Melbourne, Mr. Allen attends a meeting of the Defence Council, at Mr. Pearce's invitation. ADMIRALTY'S ADVICE TON.Z. (Reo. December 19, 0.5 a.m.) Melbourne, December 18. In local defence circles very keen interest is shown in the Hon.
