•At- the last meeting of. the Advisory .Committee of the New Zealand Farmers' "Onion, the, resignation, was, received, of Mr;-F. Fi Hockley, who has left tho Wellington province to take.up farming in the Auckland district. Mr. J. C. Cooper,' a former member of. the committee, was appointecttb : ifill:tlie vacancy. Speaking in reference to'.the departure of Mr. Hockley, the chairman (Mr. J.
