Old identities irere present in force and amongst them were many of the descendants of sturdy pioneers. Mrs. Cumberland M'Donell, who prepared and set .the luncheon for those who attended the first service in 1852, was present*."! in robust health and vigour. Messages were received from friends far' and wide. The Rev. D, Gordon represented this Presbytery of Wanganui, and suitably addressed the assembly. The Min. ister, the.Rev.
