VISITING SWIMMERS.

PICNIC AT PAREMATA. The visiting Sydney swimmers. Messrs. Solomons, Eiddington, and. Hay, together with over 100 prominent local ■swimmers, and friends, were .the guests -of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Grange, of KelbW, at Paremata yesterday. The clubhouse of the Wellington Football Club was kindly lent to the party . for the occasion. Three reserved carriages were put-on for the passengers and shunted at Paremata. The outing was thoroughly enjoyed by all, especially by the visitors, and, to use the. words of the manager, Mr. 1. Solomons, "the hospitality of the New Zealander is unbounded.' Some of those present were: Mr. T. 'Eonayne, sen., Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Henrys,- Mr. and Mrs. A. Levy, Mr. J. J. Atkme, Messrs. Marriott, Paape, and H. Blicfc. ■The swimmers and their friends were entertained by Mr, and Mrs, A Levy, at their residence, Upper Willis Street, last The Australians leave for Blenheim to-day, and return to Wellington towards the end of the week.

VICTORIA COLLEGE CLUB. A 50yds. handicap race was decided by the Victoria' College Swimming Club at Te Aro baths on Friday evening. The result was as follows :-Adams (Bsec), 1; Hudson (4sec), 2; Bullard (2sec.), 3.. Also started: Brosnan (12sec), Mason (lOsec), Bell (Ssec.),. Rogers (4sec.) ( Grey (4sec.), Mao Nab (scr.).
