CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. , EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS.' ,' From 18th December, 1912, to 6th January, 1913, inclusive, extra express trains will run between Wellington and Auckland as under:— FOR AUCKLAND, .daily except Sundays—Wellington (Thorndon) dep. 12.35 p.m., Palmerston North dep. 4.10 p.m., Auckland arrive 7.55 a.m. FOR WELLINGTON, Daily except Saturdays—Auckland dep. 10.0 p.in., Palmerston. North dep. 1.57 p.m., Wellington arrive 5.M p.m. On the.days the Op extra express train runs the 11.50 a.m. Auckland express train will take passengers' from Wellington, only for Tafhape and stopping stations beyond Taihapo, and will not take up passengers between Palmerston North and Mercer, both inclusive. Passengers, from these stations must travel by tho extra express train, leaving Wellington ■ 12.35 p.m., or by the Summer express train, leaving at 9.10 p.m. On .the dates that the Down extra express train runs, the ordinary 9.10 p.m. Auckland-Wellington express train will take passengers from Auckland only for Waiouru, Taihape, and stopping stations beyond Taihape, and will not take up passengers between Mercer and Palmerston North, both inclusive, except for and from Waiouru. Passengers from these stations must travel by the extra express train leaving • Auckland 10.0 p.m., or by the Summer express train, leaving at 11.55 a.m. The Up extra express train will connect at Framkton with train leaving that station for Rotorua at 5.0 .a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays only. ■ The Down extra express tram will connect at Frankton with train leaving Rotorua for Frankton at 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only. ADMISSION TO THORNDON PLATFORM. Daily from 18th December, 1912, to 6th January, 1913, inclusive, ■ admission to Thorndon platform will be as below:— From 6.35 a.m. to 9.10 a.m., 11:50 a.m. to 12.35 p.m., 3.30 p.m. to 4.15 p.m., 5.30 p;m. to 9.10 p.m., 10.30 p.m. to 11.20 p.m., admission only on presentation of platform or passenger ticket . From 10.30 a.m. until after departure of the 11.50 a.m. Auckland Express the platform WILL BE CLOSED to all except passengers by that train. Persons, not being passengers, but who are in charge of young children and invalids travelling by this train, may obtain admission tickets! on application to No. 4 booking office window.
