SHANNON ITEMS.
The champion pairs competition was continued on the bowling green on Wednesday afternoon, tho results being as follow :-Roach aud Boultree, 20 v. Lind and Galland, 10; J. Mitchell and Roose, 11 v. E. B. Stephenson and Gibson 11 (won by former pair on handicap); Knowles and Bilderbeek, 11 v. G. N. Stephenson and Farqher, 10; Aim and Bromley, 29 v. Gunning und Callaghan, 16. On the tennis courts Shannon, with not at all a representative team, beat Levin by 3 sets to 6. Mesdames Carter and Gibson provided afternoon tea. Results were:—Men's singles: Dunckly (Shannon) lost to Pringlo (Levin), .5-6; Calmon (Shannon) lost' to Cutfield (Levin). 8-6; Hook (Shannon) beat Randerson (Levin),3—l; Bovis (Shannon) beat Porteous (Levin), C-3. Ladies singles: Miss Hayes (Shannon) beat Mrs. Gardener (Levin), 6— 5; Miss Lineell (Shannon) lost to Miss Sutherland, 3-G; Miss Laurvig (Shannon) beat Miss. Hitchings (Levin), Miss Dunckley (Shannon) beat Miss Matier (Levin), 6—4; Mts. Laurvig (Shannon) lost to Miss Cork (Levin), 5-6. Ladies' Doubles: Miss Dunckly and Mrs. Laurvig beat Miss Cork and Miss Matier (Levin), s—l; Combined doubles-. Dunckly and Miss Hayes (Shannon) beat Pringle and Mrs. Gardener (Levin), G-4; Soherinc and Miss Linsoll (Shannon) beat Cutfield and Miss Cork , (LovinV..6-5; Bovis. and Missr Laurvig, (Shannon) lost to Porteous and Miss Sutherland (Levin), l-; 6. Men's doubles: Dunckly and Sobering (Shannon) beat Pringle and'Randerson (Levin), 6— l; Bovis and Hook (Shannon) lost to Cutfield ad Porteous (Levin), 3—9.
