STRIKE BREAKERS FIRED ON.
FIGHT ON HUDSON RIVER. By TeleErauh—Press Association—CoDjrfclit (Rec. December 12, 9.15 p.m.) New York, December 12. Strikers on the New York and Susquehannah railway opened fire on a boatlead of strike-breakers from an ambush overlooking the Hudson Riwr. Two detectives were killed, and a dozen strikebreakers wounded. A pitched battle followed, and the strikers were compelled to retire. Many were wounded. MILITIA DISPATCHED. (Reo. December 13, 0.10 a.m.) New York, December 13. The militia were ordered to the scene of the fight on the Hudson. Tho strikers first used blank cartridges, and when this was ignored, fired tho fatal volley. ■ i
