Bailiffs appeared in a concert hall in the city, and seized Kubelik's Gnarnieri violin, valued at .£ISOO, to .satisfy Mr. Hugo Gorlitz's judgment for £1250 in connection with Kubelik's New Zealand tour of some years back. Kubclik offered a cheque in payment, but it was refused. Kubelik will bo leaving shortly for Vienna to undergo an operation for appendicitis.
