The House of Commons Committee which is inquiring into the alleged atrocities in the Putumayo rubber region recalled Sir Soger Casement, British Consul at Parn, who recounted an Indian Judge's statement that the agent of the rubber company surprised an Indian, settlement in the forest. Tho parents fled, and tho hunters dashed out the brains of eighteen children agoinst the trees. Tlie agent was arrested, but Senor Julio Arana (from whom the company purchased the business) secured his release.
