The annual report of the LieutenantGovernor of Papua shows stoady progress in tho territory. The revenue has increased by £5000, the trade by £15,000, and tho imports by £3000, but the exports decreased by £18,000. The area under agricultural settlement was 24,000 acres, as compared with 16,000 acres in the previous year. The gold output was below that of 1911. The report speaks hopefully of future agricultural and mineral developments.
