Owing to the transposition of a lino of type in our report of the' Prime Minister's speech at tho banquet tendered to the. Hon. Janves Allen on Wednesday .night, it was made to appear that tho Prime Minister paid that he believed that, the British Empiro would encounter disaster. The seiitenco should have read as follows:— "The Prime Minister (the Hon. W. F. Massay) proposed the toast of 'The Oversea Dominions of the Empire,' a toast, he said, which had such a scope that it comprised an Empire on which the sun never set, and, he believed, an Empire which would endure for ever."
