The Sfcite Guaranteed Advances Office wrote regarding the council's loan of ■£15,001). Tho amount of the increased rate is at present uncertain, but the council would be informed as soon as possible what it would be like. Councillor Bell considered that the Gov-, ornmont had treated the council very unfairly. No private institution would do such a thing. The only thing that the council could do was to pay the extra interest. The' letter was subsequently referred to the Finance Committee.

This will bo tho last meeting this year, and the council will meet again on January 3, 1913. When the accounts were being, passed for payment, Councillor Grigg raised objection to' the amount* due to tho City Council being paid.
