Another serious accident has been added to the list against tho railway crossing on Main Street, connecting East and West Temuka. A. Guild, son of Mr. Jas. Guild, a well-known farmer of Trevenha, was riding home on a motor-cycle, amlv-'fls crossing the line when the 5.20 mixed' train came up. Though tho whistle was blown, Guild apparently did not hear it. The cowcatcher caught the machine, and it flew high over the cattle-stops to the grass inside the fence; Guild's shoulderblado was fractured and his hand broken. Ho was also severely bruised. Ho was taken to tho hospital in an unconscious state. Both the cycle and the train were going at a good pace, and it is a. marvel the man was not killed outright.
