"THEY ARE INDEFENSIBLE." "I think that in the matter of solicitor's costs we should agree to the frankest inquiry," remarked Mr. R. B. Williams yesterday in the Magistrate s Court when endeavouring to persuade Dr. M Arthur, S.M., to hear argument on a question of solicitor's fees. "Wo are unpomilar enough already," added Mr. Williams. Dr. M'ATthur: Solicitors are no worse thnn anvone else. Mr. Williams: I know they are not; but somo people won't Mieve that. Mr. A. 11. Hindmarsh here remarked that he opposed the application because the time for going into the question hatl gone by. ,-,.,. Dr. M'Arthur (looking laughingly in the direction of Mr. Hindmarsh): Are you going to defend the solicitors. They are indefensible ?
