CRICKET.
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. Tho Management Committee of the; Wellington Cricket Association met last night. Air. M. I)'. Luckio presided. Tho conunilteo decided to uphold tho protest inado by Victoria. C'ollego Thirds against Pctono Thirds, on tho ground that tho latter played two seniors. Tho match, therefore, goes to Victoria College. Tho Town' Clerk advised that No. 3 wicket (near tlio fountain) at tho Basin Reserve could not bo used for play until after Christmas.
Mr. C. C. J. Bay was elected assistant secretary. A large number of honorary members wero elected.
JUNIOR ASSOCIATION. Tho committee of tho Junior Cricket Association met last evening. Mr. B. L. Salmon presided. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs. Wrigley and O'Sullivan on account of illness. Tho Kilbimie Club wrote objecting to tho recent posting of B. Sullivan as a defaulter by the Harbour Board Club claiming that this player owed no fees. It was decided to bear both the player and the Harbour Board Club's representative on tho subject. Tho committee decided that the request of the Harbour Board Club not to be charged for ground fees against the Wanderers Club could not bo entertained. It was decided to charge half tho fees for the first Saturday to tho Wanderers Club as they.had used the wicket. It was decided to remit ground fees to six teams drawn to play on Wakefield Park on November 30. A letter was received from the actingsecretary of the proposed Amateur Sports Federation asking for support. The schomo was favourably commented on, and Messrs. Bennett and Buck were appointed delegates to a meeting to be called on December 18, with power to act.
Kirkcaldie's team and the D.I.C. team were given byes on December 21, owing to the near approach of the holidays, and on this date Thistle and Union will commence their match.
THIRD-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. The following are the fixtures for the third-class championship for Saturday:— At Kelburne, North v. Victoria College; at College, Hutt v. Karori; at Petone, St. David's v. Island Bay; at Petone, Petono v. ■ Brooklyn; at. College, St. Marks v. y.M.C.A. .

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) .;,,.' .."-.....!•.■ Timaru, December 10.. .. .The .South Canterbury Cricket Centre, to-night decided to forfeit the Hawke Cup match to Blenheim, 3s the men would be a week away from home, and, if the cup were won, it would mean a second trip to the North Island. Only South Canterbury and Blenheim entered for the South bland, and the,match was drawn for Blenheim.
