BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS.
Sir,—Will tho supporters of Canon Garland bo good enough to bo nccurato in tho words they use. Tho clerics have- no desire to hara the Bible in tho schools, as very few of them believe in. tho Biblo God. What they want is the New Testament and Jesus Christ in tho schools. I would, therefore, fesl greatly obliged by their dropping tho Biblo, and tho God of tho Bible, out of tlieir foolish propaganda, as the New Testament is. not tho Bibie, and is the solo cause of the hundreds of creeds or sects in Christianity.— I am, etc., COLEMAN PHILLIPS. Fricsland Lodge,' Carterton. December 10, 1912.
