Gallaiul and T. Lindsay 21; ,]. v. Koos and J. Mitchell 12 v. W. Voysey and F. W. Venn 18. Afternoon tea was provided for flic tennis players and bowlers by Mesdames J. Richardson and G. W. Stephenson. • Bro. E. J. King, A.D., presided at the half-yearly meeting of the Druids' Order on Thursday night. The secretary, Bro. C. H. Gardiner, presented the balancesheet, which was adopted. The statement of funds was as follows:—Sick and funeral fund, .£619 15s: "Sd.; benevolent fund, £19 ss. Bd.; management fund, .ffil 15s. fid.; death levy fund, £U lis. (id.; total funds of lodges, J!742'115. 2d., with an increase of J!1C0 for the sick and funeral fund for the half-year., The. election of office-bearers then took place, after which TI.V. Bro. J. W. Murray installed them. The officers for the. new period arc: J.P.A., Bro. E. J. King; A.D., Bro. E. Sutton; V.A., Bro. W. Law; secretary (re-elected unopposed), Bro. C. 11. Gardiner; treasurer (re-elected unopposed). Bro. Bilderbeck; 1.G., Bro. P. Millar; 0.G., Bro. A. Roos: A.D., Bards, Bros. C. Crowther and W. Miller; V.A.D. Bards, Bros. Huison and Forbes; minute secretary, Bro. R. L. Tippler; auditor, Bro. Quarries; Grand Lodge representative, Bro. T. Lind. The quarterly returns allowed a membership of 149. It was decided to present: Bro. Roes with a collar and diploma, as a token of the Lodge's appreciation of his .services as P.A. The 'following officers were elected at tho annual meeting of the Amateur Dramatic Company:—Hon. secretary, Mr. .T. H. E. Tilling; lion, treasurer, Mr. E. Perry; Selection Committer. Mtsdames Tilling, Norman, and Mr. Tilling. The past financial year eaw the production of "My Turn Next" and "The. Guv'nir," and the next production, will be "Tta Private Secretary." A special vote of. thanks was \ passed to Mis? Dmickley, Miss Lourvig, Messrs. T. Watterston. and K. B. Stephenson, for services rendered. Since the inception of the society it has paid away in donations to charities, etc., over ,C 52. The cash credit balance at date of balancing \vas £U 7s. Gd. To the continuous efforts and enthusiasm of the lion, secretary tho success of the society is largely due.
