Her dam Beauty Pieterje's record for seven days is 30.51b. Her grandam, the famous cow Prilly, at the age of 13 years made a record of 25.21b. of butter, which is equal to at least 301b. for a cow in her prime. : She has undoubtedly proved herself one of the greatest transmitting cows, through her daughters, of. the breed, having produced six A.R.O. daughters as well as two A.R.O. sons—and a line of succession of 301b. cows for four generations. Her record, with those of her ; daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, and great great granddaughter makes a world's record for five generations. She also, with her daughters, holds the world's record for dam and six daughters for milk, butter, and percentage of fat. ' Tho other heifer, Woodcrest Pietje Kate, is bred to Woodcrest Jo, a young bull of great breeding, purchased by -the New Zealand Government as one of the herd leaders at Wereroa. The sire of this bull is Coiantha Johanna Champion, and the dam Pietje 22nd's Daughter. The average 6even-'day butter production of the dam and the two grandams is 31,131b., while tho average production for the 10 females in-tlie pedigree with records is 26.441b. Tho granclsires are Sir Fayno Concordia and Homestead Girl de Kol Sarcastic Lad, the former having 12 A.R.O. daughters and 10 A.R.O. sons, and the latter 90 A.R.O. daughters and 11 A.R.O. sons.
