"With lier deelts piled high with 500,G00 feet of timber, and laden with a general cargo, which consisted of dTied fruits, fresli apples, oragnes, onions, tinned truit, salmon, and barrels of oil, the Union Company's chartered steamer Invcric arrived at Wellington at 11.30 a.m. yesterday, after a 23-days' run from San Francisco, in© vessel berthed at the, Clyde ' to dischargo her timber, and will sniit to the Taranaki Street wharf to-day to commcnce unloading general cargo. The Inveric is a steamer of 31W tons, and is oivned by Messrs. Andrew ™ eir and Co., of Glasgow. She was somewhat delayed at Vancouver on account of coal 6trikos, but eventually cleared Frisco on November 12. Her passage was uneventful. Capt-ain A. Wallace is in command, ana has the following officers associated with him:—Chief, Mr. G. H. Groundwater; second. Mr. G. H. Horswilf;. third, Mr. A. S. Codling. Mr. Wm M'Millan fs chief engineer, Mr J. L. Hajari is seoond, ana Mr. F. Mczler is third. .Her crew, both above and below deck, consists of Asiatics.
