The "Matin" states that efforts have failed to induce the Grand Duko Michael of Russia to consent to annul his morganatic marriage, and reconsider the question of his succession to the Throne, in view of the possibility of the succession passing to the Grafcd Duko Paul Alexandrovitch, owing to the delicate state of the Tsarevitch. The Grand Duke Michael is a brother of tho Tsar. He was born in 1878.' Tho Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovitch is an uncle of the Tsar, and was bom in 1860, lie was married in 1889 to a princess of the Greek Toyal house, who dieel two years later. In 1902 he made a morganatic marriage with a divorced lady.
