The Houso of Commons, in Committee on the Trades Union Bill, rejected Viscount Wolmer's amendment ordering tho Registrar of Friendly Societies to supervise the ballot. Mr. Ramsay MacDonald (Leader of. tho Labour Party) characterised the amendment as an insult to tho unions.
