MERCER'S SHOP ENTERED. Early on Saturday morning burglars entered tho mercery shop belonging bo J. T. Hawthorn in tlio Town Hnll Buildings, Lowor Hutt, and made off with about .615 worth of clothing and Roods. Entrance was effected through the front door by moans of a "jemmy" or crow-bar. The polico were communioatod with and a diligent search ensued. An employeo of Mr. Hawthorn's passed the shop at midnight, and so far as ho could soe everything was right. Some cash that was lying handy was not touched.
