Tho Aorangi brought a large shipment of oranges, bananas, and pineapples from the Uook "Islands.: The bananas arrived in good condition, with the-exception of a few small lots, and tho- bulk .'sold at 10s. to 20s;- per.case. There are still a few on.'hauu. Californian navel oranges, ex tho same., steamer, were selling yesterday at 245. , per case. . The. pineapples have not yet been sold,, but will be ottered this morning.: ■ ' A few Now South Wales oranges came to hand during the week, and realised 16s. to 235. par.case. New , South .Wales iuondarins, are now small and dry, and ore not,sought • after. . Australian-grown apricots' are in', keen demand, choice fruit. being-worth- 10s. to 12s. per - half-case. Dark.varieties of plums, cases, realise 7s. to Os.
. Primp "Hawke's Bay peaches, packed in crates, are selling at . from lis. to 15s. Consignments ■ of cherries from Nelson, Motueka, Hastings,' and Melbourne are now on .tho market'. . Tho Melbourne lots are selling at 12s. to 15s. per halt-case. Local-grown - sorts are worth ss. to 10s., according to quality. . Some New South "Wales cherries'also arrived on - Wednesday, ■ and liiade 13s: to :14s; per: half-case. There is an- excellent demand for watermelons, largei sizes 'bringing '.from lis. to 8s: 6d. each, : and small ones relatively lower. -
