Messrs.' James Macintosh and 00. report having held their U6ual weekly sale in their Masterton. OVaipoun) sale.yards on Wednesday, when they olfored a very small yarding of cattle aaid sheep, which met with fair competition,- and practically tho whole yarding was aold. Quotations axe as follow:—Sheep: Woolly hoggets, 135.; flftconHmonths Polled Angus heifers, £3 2s. 6d.; flftoen-niontho Hereford heifers, £32i5. 6d.; two-year empty eteer hcifors. £4; two and a half-year steers, £1 IC-s.; yearling Jersey bull, £21; bull calf, 225. 6d. BUBUSIDE MABKET. (By' Telegraph.—Prese Association.) Dunodin, December 4. • -At Burnside to-day 195 fat- cattle were yarded, including several peiis of show bullocks. Tho sale opened a ehade easier than last week,' but improved later on, and last week's prices were fully maintained. Show bullocks, extra heavy, £17 to £18 12s. 6d.; boat bullocks, £14 to £16; good, £11 10s.' to £13 10s.; medium, £8 10s. to £9 10s.; best hcifors, £1 10s. to £12. Pat shop: 2064 poimcd. This was a medium yarding, and prices were about Is. bettor than last wcck'S. Several lines of extra good shorn sheep were forward, also a fow pens of sood wethers \i'n wool. Extra honyy wcthere, 295. to 30s. 3d.; good, 2os: to 275. 6d.; heavy ewes, 255. 6d. to 295.: good, to 225.; best shorn wethers, 225. to 235. 3d.; good, 10s.- 6d. to ZOs.; Larabs: 163 pennod. Owing to tlio small yarding prices were 2s. 6d. por head higher than last week's rates. Best, 19s. to £os. 9d.; good, 16s. to IBs.
