PETITIONS AGAINST RESUMPTION. By felegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, December 5. Twenty-three petitions have been presented against the Government's action in oonnectibn with Government House. In reply to questions, the Premier* Mr. -M'Gowen, declined to accept a challenge to produce the letters he stated he had received endorsing the Government's action. Regarding the legal opinion obtained that the Government was acting illegally, Mr. M'Gowan said: "If an injunction to restrain the Government can be obtained, let it be."
