"' '•••- fr-^ —— A- fir© was discovered shortly after midnight at the Cricketers' Arms Hotel, 1 at the corner of Tory and Vivian Strew*. It broke out in one of-the' sitting-roomS at tho Tory Street end of the buil&ng. The 1 feoh of Mr. J; T. Foley (the proprietor) was awakened by the smoke, fcnd promptly gave the alarm, and the fife ttas Soon extinguished, but not before th 6 room in wlviohit started, and two or three other rooms, had been badly damaged. The building belongs to Messrs. Staples; and Co., and is insured for .£I7OO in tho Atlas Company. Tho contents are ineiired for £400 in the same office.
