A RATHER HEATED DISCUSSION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Invercarglll, December 5. The Conciliation Ojmniission'er (Mr. Triggs) held a sitting here to-day in 'the painters' dispute.. The employers'' assessors informed the Commissioner at. the outset that they had bson instructed' to oppose tho men's demands in toto as .they were regarded as impossible. There was. : a rather heated ■ discussion the Commissioner stating ;;that_ it, was.-the ; cla6s of employers sitting at the table .who caused trouble .in New Zealand as they would not listen to a. fair deal. The conference .was abortive. ,
