MINSTERS AT KAITANGATA.
NEW POST OFFICE OPENED. (By Telegraph.—Pmsb .Association.) Kaitangata, December a. To-day was a red-letter day in Kaitaigata; It was visited during the afternoon by three Ministers of the Crown— the Hon. J. Allen, the Hon. B. H'eatbn Bhbdes;, and the Hon. Dr. Pomar'e. . Flags aid bunting were flying injhe principal streets. to mark the auspicious, occasion; Atnalf-past two Mr. Rhodes opened'the new post office in the township,' and in the evening Mr.; Allen wa} entertained ,at a banquet'by his cbhstitiehts of Kaita-. igata and surrounding districts. . Mr. Bhbdes, the Postmastor-General, announced'that all are , how complete for the transmission of packages of fr.uit through the intermediary of the post office. He had on the day approved', of the system; jrhich brought into operation .at .the beginning of .the yeir. A large number, of details had necessarily to be arranged, but by that time the Department wbuld'haYe. the new system ii complete working order.
