PROFESSOR EUCKEN. Sir,—He your interesting leading article in last Saturday's 'Dominion, - "On the Side of the Angels/' you -refer to an explanation of Professor Eucken's '"Philosophy of Life," by a Dr. A. J. Jones. Is this not a mistake? Eucken's great new book has quite recently been translated into English by our old friend Dr. \V. .Tudor Jones (founder of the Unitarian Free. Church, Wellington,' and now, of Unity Church, Islington, London), and the explanation is probably by him.—l am, etc., , , F.W. H. lOJMMER. Mauriceville, December 1, 1912. [The book referred to in, our leading article on Saturday is entitled "Rudolf Eucken: A Philosophy of Life," by Dr. A. J. Jones. It is published by Messrs. 'I'. C. and E. C. Jack. The book to which .Mr. Kuimner refers is no doubt "The Truth of Religion," recently translated by Dr. Tudor Jones, and published by Messrs. Williams and Norgate.]
