The Prime Minister's attention, was directed, to a Masterton telegram reporting dissatisfaction, among Territorials over the appointment of officers, who, it was contended, had no qualifications for the position, but whose parents held high 6ocinl positions, and were supporters of tho Reform party. Mr. Massey said so far os he knew social position had nothing to do with any appointment made under the Reform Government, cither in Defence or any other Department. He would, however, see the Miaister for Defence on the subject.
